Mary Jane Smokewear is a unique brand of clothing that celebrates the wonderful plant that is cannabis.  One of our goals with Mary Jane Smokewear is to assist in breaking all the negative stereotypes incorrectly associated with marijuana and those who enjoy smoking it.  We believe in TOTAL & COMPLETE legalization of cannabis, it is a FLOWERING PLANT and has never once in history killed anyone, ever.  Our view is that it should be seen as what it is:  no big deal.  The only big deals arise out of its illegality.  Criminalizing peaceful individuals while at the same time empowering actual criminals.  If an adult chooses to make a decision that does not harm themselves or others, they should not be treated like a criminal.

• The first law in the American colonies regarding marijuana was a 1619 law that actually required farmers to grow the hemp plant. Once harvested, hemp was useful for clothing, sails, and rope.

• During the temperance movement of the 1890s, marijuana was commonly recommended as a substitute for alcohol. The reason for this was that use of marijuana did not lead to domestic violence while alcohol abuse did.
